Arbor Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-08-11

Arbor is a product of Bravency Inc. ("Bravency", "we"). This policy explains what information Arbor collects, why, and what we will never do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at [email protected] and we will answer in plain language.

What we collect

We collect what is needed to run the service a church configures, and nothing else.

  • Account data provided by your church: name, email address, phone number, and team or position assignments.
  • Scheduling and serving activity generated by use of the service: invitations sent, responses, schedule changes, and the record of who was asked and when.
  • Device push tokens, so the app can deliver a notification to your phone.

We do not collect location data, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.

Anonymous submissions

The submission box inside Arbor is structurally anonymous. Submissions are stored with no identity attached, and we cannot link a submission back to a person. This is a property of how the data is stored, not a promise about how we behave — there is nothing to look up.

How we use it

We use the information to operate the service: sending serving invitations, confirmations, schedule changes, and reminders, and producing service reports for church leaders. We also use it to keep the service secure and working, and to respond when someone contacts us for support.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising.

Text messaging (SMS) program

Program name: Arbor scheduling notifications.

Messages are operational and transactional only: serving invitations, confirmations, schedule changes, and reminders for people who serve at a church using Arbor. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Consent

You opt in inside the Arbor app, or through your church, which confirms your consent, before any SMS is sent to you. Consent is never a condition of purchase or of serving. The opt-in is off by default; the screen a person sees is documented on our SMS program page.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with your serving schedule. Message and data rates may apply.

How to stop, and how to get help

Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time; reply HELP for help — or contact us at [email protected]. Opting out of SMS never removes you from scheduling: invitations and reminders continue by push notification and email.

Your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Opt-in data and consent are never sold or shared.

Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers that deliver the service on our behalf — hosting and message delivery — and only for those purposes. They are bound to use it for nothing else. We also disclose information where we are legally required to.

There is no third-party marketing, no advertising network, and no data broker in this service.

Your church's role

Your church administers its own roster in Arbor. Congregant data belongs to the church, and the church decides who is on a team, what a person is asked to serve, and who can see a schedule. A request to correct or delete information can go to your church or directly to us; we will work with the church to honor it.

How long we keep information, and how it gets deleted

We keep information while the church's account is active. We delete it on verified request or on account closure, subject to any records we are legally required to keep. A church may request an export of its data at any time.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service, and that access is logged.

Children

Arbor accounts are for adults and for teens who serve at a church. We do not knowingly collect children's data through the app. If you believe a child's information has reached us, write to [email protected] and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, notify the churches using Arbor before it takes effect.
