SMS program: Arbor scheduling notifications

Effective 2026-08-11

Arbor sends operational text messages — serving invitations, confirmations, schedule changes, and reminders — to people who serve at a church using Arbor. It sends no marketing or promotional texts. This page documents how a person consents to those messages.

How consent is collected

Consent is collected in the Arbor app, from each person individually, on the screen shown below. The setting is off by default: no text message is sent to anyone until that person turns it on. Consent is never a condition of purchase and never a condition of serving — a volunteer who leaves it off keeps getting invitations and reminders by push notification and email, and nothing about their standing on a team changes. A person can turn it off again at any time on the same screen, or by replying STOP to any message. The full terms of the program are in the Privacy Policy.
