Arbor Terms of Service
These terms cover the use of Arbor, a product of Bravency Inc. ("Bravency", "we"). They are written to be read. If something here is unclear, write to [email protected] and ask.
What Arbor is
Arbor is volunteer scheduling and engagement software for churches. It schedules people to serve, asks them, follows up when a request goes unanswered, and reports back to church leaders on what it did. It does not handle check-ins, giving, or a song library, and it does not claim to.
Your account
Accounts are created through your church. The church decides who has an account, what a person can see, and what they are asked to serve. You are responsible for keeping your own sign-in credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account.
Acceptable use
- Use Arbor for scheduling and coordinating people who serve at your church.
- Do not use it to send unsolicited messages of any kind.
- Do not attempt to access another church's data, break the service, or work around its limits.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to share.
- Do not resell the service or make it available to an organization that is not your church.
Your church's data
The church owns its data. We hold it to run the service. A church may request an export of its data at any time, and we will provide it in a usable format. How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Service provided "as is"
We work to keep Arbor available and correct, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a purpose you have in mind for it. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be waived.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Bravency is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount the church paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
A church may stop using Arbor at any time and request an export and deletion of its data. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or that harms the service or the churches using it, and we will explain why when we do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, notify the churches using Arbor before it takes effect.
